Your team
The Neo Federal Team is enabling other development teams to provide their solutions inside integrated platform called Neo. The UBS Neo is our leading project that intends to replace all client facing systems with one modern and technically advanced solution. Neo is designed as microservice ecosystem with state-of-the-art technologies composed into one multifunctional portal.
You will lead the existing Agile team within UBS Investment Bank to develop Neo Platform with state-of-the-art technologies. You will collaborate closely with the Business, Client-Side Developers, Quality Assurance and User Experience professionals.
Your experience and skills
You have:
– leadership experience as Team Leader or Scrum Master within Agile environment
– expertise in fundamentals of computing science including data structures and algorithms.
– expertise in Java 8 with knowledge of low-level parts of API like collections, multi-threading, Java concurrency utilities, IO/NIO and Sockets
– expertise in HTML 5 and Javascript (ECMAScript 6)
– experience with building full stack applications using Spring framework and React
– experience with NoSql databases (Cassandra, Neo4j, Redis) and understanding of different types.
– clean coding skills and excellent problem solving ability.
– fluency in design patterns and refactoring techniques.
– fluency in Java unit testing / testing frameworks (JUnit / JMock / EasyMock / JMockit etc).
– fluency in Javascript unit testing / testing frameworks (Karma / Mocha / Chai / Enzyme / Nightwatch etc)
– fluency in application servers (Apache, Tomcat) and relational databases (Oracle, Sybase or SQL Server).
– experience with RESTful web services and messaging systems.
– knowledge of agile development practices (Scrum, XP, Kanban etc)

– aware of on-going technology trends and know pragmatically leverage their benefits
– comfortable working independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
– fluent in English
